Celebration of Life for
Laurence T. Bell
September 29, 1948 - June 16, 2015
In times of trouble and despair Laurence always pointed to one of his favorite scriptures: St. John 16:33:
“These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”
This scripture helped us to realize that God has already seen and preordained this moment – and that he has overcome it and every difficult one in the future.
As such, we endeavor not to just mourn but to be better because of his teaching, influence, inspiration, and the way he 'ran his race.'
So we are committing to looking forward, to finishing the race - the race in our own lives, the lives of others, and in the communities that we can touch through fulfilling our God-given purpose.
So, to honor the legacy of Laurence T. Bell and to remind ourselves to continue to work and look ahead - his family is committing to completing four 'races' in the places that were near and dear to his heart - his home & church.
We will use this site to track and update the progress of four projects that we intend to complete in his honor over the next year. To learn more about, see the progress us, or join us in supporting these efforts see the 'Legacy Tribute' or 'Get Involved' pages of this site.
Be Blessed,
The Family of Laurence Thomas Bell
